Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"It was an amazing dinner! My husband and I had rib steak and it was cooked to perfection along with the side dish which tasted heavenly. I also loved the red wine sauce. Wine selections are very tasty and there was a lot of positive vibes around with a relaxing atmosphere and hospitality. Highly recommended!"
"Small and intimate restaurant serving traditional French fare in a cozy setting. The wine selection was great and included many local options. Service was also kind and attentive. Definitely worth a stop during your time in Chamonix."
"The most amazing things here are the environment and service. The place is quiet, clean and elegant, the service is also quick and friendly. The wine suggestion from the manager is accurate. The food here is special: have their innovations on top of traditional French cuisine but reminds me of Chinoise cuisine, the coq in white wine sauce and duck stew both have flavors that taste like my homeland. Maybe the kitchen focuses on speed too much, my dish got on my table really fast, but the inside is still cold. I still feel like it is a little bit over-priced, maybe because it is in a tourist zone."
"Visited this restaurant with my family and kids and we love the cosy ambience of the place. Service was excellent and staff was very patient to explain the food and menu to us. It’s also kids friendly with kids menu available."
"I loved everything about this place — the cozy rustic décor, the delicious food, and the kind, attentive service. It’s a great spot to enjoy a meal just a little outside the busy pedestrian area, making it perfect for a more relaxed and pleasant experience. Highly recommended!"
"A wonderful dining experience. Friendly and attentive staff, delicious French cuisine and an extensive wine selection. Tourist friendly, and accommodating of English speakers. We had the Beef Bourgogne, Wagyu Steak with Zucchini au Gratin, with apple and apricot crumble for dessert."
"Staff was really nice and her recommendation for food and wine was perfect. We had veal steak and it was really good. We asked for heating the steak after it went cold, and we were able to eat warm food all along. Thank you, we had such a nice time"
"I made a reservation at the restaurant in advance, and arrived late in Chamonix due to a train delay on the day of my visit, so I called the restaurant and visited late. I ordered a course meal and enjoyed the Lyon salad, beef dish, and cheese dessert. In particular, the beef dish went well with the potatoes, and there were a variety of vegetables while eating, so the quantity was large and it was really delicious. It was crowded even though it was a weekday evening. The owner of the restaurant seemed busy taking orders and serving by himself, but his pride and professionalism in cooking was evident."
